Veggin’ out

Plant-based lifestyles are not for everyone. When you decide to make this dietary change, it needs to be done the right way.

Can I ask you something personal?

  • Would you consider yourself vegetarian or vegan curious?
  • Do you have a vegetarian or vegan family member — and don’t know what to feed them?
  • Do you have a son or daughter who has recently declared their allegiance to veganism but is living on rice and potato chips?

If you answered YES to any of these questions this class is for you!

“Making the Vegetarian or Vegan Transition” is a fun and interesting class (if I may be so bold), and it’s based on evidence-based nutrition (don’t forget the science!).

Fun fact: I almost named this class “What do I feed that $#!@ing vegan?!”

If you’re looking to improve your health, or just interested in a plant-based lifestyle, my goal is to show you that this way of eating is simple, nutritious and attainable! You will leave feeling plant-empowered and be taking home some groovy new recipes.

You will learn...

  • When to buy organic (or not!)
  • Where to find vegetarian sources of protein (aka, “You wouldn’t ask a gorilla if he gets enough protein, would you?”)
  • About the calcium myth (and dairy substitutions)
  • Tips on purchasing and storing nuts, seeds, and oils
  • Which supplements will be beneficial to you
  • Baking substitutions
  • Kale 101 (it’s not just edible underwear for vegans!)

How it works...

You're responsible for providing and arranging a venue and participants. I will lead the class, focusing on using whole foods to support a specific health topic.

Individuals can book classes for a private group (for example for a birthday party or a stagette), and companies can book classes for their employees.

Please note: these classes are informational programs. They are not cooking classes.

How much does it cost?

Classes are very affordable but the cost varies, as each group is unique and requests different structures and timeframes. Please get in touch with me for a quote based on your group’s needs!

Looking for 1-on-1? If you’d like to learn more about the information in this class, but aren’t a group, just get in touch. I’d be happy to work something out for you!

Don’t wait: change your plate!

“Tricia, I just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed the cooking class. It was nice to get out of the office and learn something new together. It seemed like the men had the most fun – surprisingly! I think it was a great team building exercise for us and we will definitely do it again next year.”
